I was born and raised a Roman Catholic. I was baptized as an infant, had my 1st Holy Communion at age 7 and was confirmed at age 13. Now as an 19 year old, I have fully accepted the Catholic Church as my Church and my religion; not just the religion of my parents. I believe everything the Catholic Church teaches.

Hi Mary Kate,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Lesley
I have a few questions about Catholicism, if you don't mind. I would like to know more about it.
1.As a Catholic, what do you believe a person must do (or not do) to get to heaven, and why?
2.How did the world begin?
3. Is evolution true?
4.Where will a sinner go when they die?
5.If I am baptized as a baby, but walk away from the Catholic faith, will I still go to heaven?
6.If I be good, will I go to heaven? What if I've done something really awful?
7.Why is there sin in the world? And why is there so much pain and suffering?
8.People say Jesus is coming soon to take the Christians to heaven. Others say that Christians will go through the tribulation. What do you believe?
9. Is there a hell?
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions...

Thank you! I liked reading about your beliefs and I agreed in part with most of them. However the last section concerning the future is where I majorly disagree. Maybe if you read this article it will help you understand what I believe concerning the future, i.e. the rapture, Christ's second coming and the Final Judgement. http://www.catholic.com/tracts/the-rapture
