Rebecca + John // A Harrisburg Wedding

I knew as soon as I pulled up to the beautiful little bed and breakfast covered in a light layer of early morning mist, that it was going to be an amazing day. I can't even begin to tell you how many times throughout the day I found myself grinning from ear to ear behind my camera and thinking to myself "I have the best job in the entire world."

There were the moments like when Rebecca's best friend saw her in her wedding dress and they choked up together and commented on how surreal it was that they weren't just playing wedding like they did as little girls, but that it was really happening. Or when I stole John away for a few minutes before the guests started arriving at the church, to take some portraits of him and he was so nervous and yet so entirely giddy at the same time and he looked at me and said in an awestruck sort of voice, "Wow, this is really happening, isn't it?". Or when John and Rebecca were brought into a little side room, minutes before the Mass started, to pray together and hold hands with a wall between them so John couldn't see her yet, and they closed their eyes and half giggled, half choked out whispered "I love you's". And near the end of the father-daughter dance, when Rebecca's sister whispered to me, "Look at their feet. She's standing on his, just like she used to do when she was little." Those are the moments that made the day so utterly perfect. Those are the moments when I realize once again how incredibly blessed I am to have the honor of capturing the emotions and details and love that fill a wedding day.

Rebecca and John, thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me this honor. You two are incredible witnesses of genuine, deep, complete love and I pray you have years and years of blissful happiness together. :)

I love these pictures of Rebecca's dad seeing her in her dress.
Rebecca and all her younger sisters!

Look at that pure happiness!
Since Rebecca's maid of honor was her sister and John's best man was his brother it made this picture even better! :)

They washed each other's feet as sign of their complete sacrificial love for one another.
I love this shot of John's sister's reaction to their first dance!

The night ended with floating lanterns - a perfect end to a perfect day!
