Every year near the beginning of the new school year, we have an official "first day" which includes, getting on the bus {the van}, packing our lunch, and having fun school snacks.
And with all this excitement, two year old Joey got into his lunchbox a little early and we found him eating his dessert at 9:20 in the morning :)

I agree that homeschooling traditions are the best :) We tried the "bus" this with four of my siblings but it didn't last that long
