The Weekend

This weekend was busy.

I got my drivers permit (YAY!!!) and have been driving at least a little bit every day.

My sister turned 14 and is now allowed to wear make-up. {Our family rule is that you can't wear make-up until you turn 14}.

My newest cousin {the one that was adopted from China} was baptized.

I had lots and lots of school work to do before Monday.
I've seen these eos lip balms before and I've wanted to get one for awhile. I got it Saturday and I love it so much!

And I've been trying to edit the pictures for the family session I did last week.

It's been so cold these past few days that I haven't ventured outside. So I've had to come up with creative indoor pictures.

Like goofy selfies:

And peacock feathers:

And since Christmas is officially over it's I set up all my Christmas earrings for a few last christmasy photos:

Did you all have a good weekend?

More Challenges

Like I said last post, I haven't taken too many photos in the past few days and the ones I have taken are still on my camera which my mom has with her today.

Instead I've found several more photo challenges to join!
The first one is over at A Ray of Sunshine. Her theme is Winter and so I'm entering this picture from last week:

The next one is over at Cookie Cutter and the theme is "color"

The last one for today is hosted by Lucia at her blog - Lucia, etc. - and the theme is "the little things". This is my entry because it's the little things like striped pants and red sneakers and golden hour bokeh that make this picture perfect.
This is my youngest brother who is 23 months.
Thanks for stopping by!

Entering...

I haven't entered a photography challenge in a while so I thought I would enter Mary Ann's (Shutter Happy) photo challenge.

The theme is anything which is good because I  haven't taken many photos in the past few days (I've been very busy with school starting back up again) so I'm sharing one that I took right before Christmas and never shared with all of you.
I took this out our car window. The city you can faintly see is Harrisburg (PA's capitol).

And I'm also entering a photo challenge by two girls, Gloria and Mary Catherine. Their theme is "bokeh" which makes me very happy as I have tons and tons of bokeh from Christmas. It is not easy to pick my favorite bokeh shot. But I believe this is my favorite:
It doesn't even have that much bokeh in it, but I love it so much! It's from our Christmas breakfast and I just held my plate up in front of our Christmas tree. (And just look at my last post to see a TON more bokeh filled photos)

It's all the Simple Things

It's all the simple things that make holidays so special. The precious moments that could never be recreated. The cuteness, the beauty and the craziness.
So it's time to share the last of my Christmas pictures.

My Christmas outfit:
I wore the white and black dress in the left picture.
The family got MarioKart as a Christmas gift which we played all the time Christmas week.

And since I'm sharing the last of my Christmas photos, I might as well go ahead and show you the New Years Eve ones as well:
Don't worry all us under-21-year olds were drinking sparkling cider, not wine :)
See! I told you it was sparkling cider!
I hope you all had a great first day(s) back at school!

Sneak Peak

Like I mentioned in my last post, I had my second family session this morning.  It was freezing cold - 25degrees - and there was a biting wind that made it feel about 10 degrees colder. As a result we took most of the pictures inside this big barn instead of our original plan of outside. But I still love the pictures! This was my longest session I've done, about and hour and half long plus they live 45mins from my house and we took the pictures at a place right by their house. But it was worth it!

So without further ado, here is a little sneak peak of this adorable family:
I'm linking this photo up to Sweet Shot Tuesday.

P.S. {The quality is a lot better on flickr, for some reason it's a little fuzzy on blogger, I've never had the problem before. You can see it on flickr here.}
